Bible passage: Acts 4, II Timothy 1:7
Things I learned from this message:
- There is no secret agent in God’s kingdom.
- The Holy Spirit makes service for God possible.
- Do not be a hungry baker.
- Listen to this sermon
– to find out how to grow this church with $3000 each (tongue in cheek).
– the pig and cow story - Give while you are still alive.
- The Holy Spirit will direct you to share Jesus with others. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and witness for Christ everywhere (at work, in school, on vacation, on a place, to your neighbours).
- Be brave and courageous like BKC of old.
- Learn to pray and bless non-Christians.
- The Holy Spirit gives power to individual and to the church.
- The Holy Spirit makes witnesses out of weaklings.
- We should not be in the missions field alone. The church should come alongside you.
- If you go house to house go with a friend.
- The Holy Spirit brings fellowship and unit in the church not fractions. Small groups may go on missions trip together!
- See the missions field first hand is better than hearing it from others who have been there.
- Create activities that encourage others to come into a Christian setting.
- Our mission is to witness for Christ.
- An evangelist is a nobody telling everybody about somebody (Jesus) who can save anybody.
